Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic maintains quality, safety, and productivity by ensuring that the machinery, powered equipment, mechanical systems, and electrical systems are properly maintained and repaired. Must be skilled in multi-trades, to handle emergencies and perform routine maintenance work. Skills must include the ability to analyze, troubleshoot and repair failures.

Maintenance Worker Responsibilities:

• Repair machines and equipment as directed.
• Clean, inspect, and diagnose machinery as part of preventive maintenance program.

• Respond to calls for corrective emergency maintenance.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, equipment drawings/blueprints, building drawings, and electrical schematics to perform required maintenance.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

• Understand and comply with proper Lockout /Tagout procedures. • Utilize CMMS.

Maintenance Worker Requirements:

• Safe use of hand and power tools.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• Electrical motor control understanding.

• Ability to use and apply electrical testing equipment.

• Ability to read and write English.

• Flexibility of work scheduling.
• Ability to work as part of a team or without supervision.
• Ability to learn new concepts, engineering guidelines, and best practices.
• Familiarity of pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems.

• Equipment Elector-Maintenance Mechanic: 6months-2 years

• Must be able to obtain a Forklift certification

• Valid California Driver License

Physical Requirements:

This position requires walking and standing for long hours, lift, push, pull, bend, twist, reach, squat, climb, and fine manipulations with hands. Exposure to cold, heat, vibrations, odors, and loud noises.

• Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place

All employees/customers are required to wear a mask, surfaces are sanitized regularly.
